LEGO announced last week that it will be releasing a recreation of the popular video game console on Aug. 1 for $239.99.The LEGO Atari 2600 set is based on the four-switch revision of the Atari 2600, which was released in 1980, three years after the original console was released in 1977, according to a press release from LEGO. The new LEGO set will cost $239.99 and will be available on the LEGO website. (LEGO / Fox News) When it’s built, the LEGO Atari 2600 opens in the front to show a pop-up scene from a 1980s gaming room, according to the release. When it’s built, the LEGO Atari 2600 is over 3 inches high, 13 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep, according to the product description.
