Liverpool's Melwood training ground has been reopened since Monday to allow players to undertake individual running sessions.

Strict safety measures have been put in place at the club's base as players underwent hour-long running sessions which were monitored by a club medic.

With a maximum of three players in at any one time, the sessions have been offered to players to give them a easier way to maintain their fitness during the current coronavirus lockdown.

Some players had found running in public to be difficult as they were spotted by fans and were liable to be stopped for autographs or selfies, thereby potentially breaking social distancing rules.
