Liverpool set to win title after all as Premier League plan bumper six-week end to season

Liverpool have received a boost in their hunt for a maiden Premier League title with reports suggesting the season will be finished in a six-week spell.

It was announced this week that there will be no professional football on these shores until April 30, at the earliest due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Many expect that date to be pushed back with the FA confirming that this season will be completed and can go on past June 1.

However, with next season set to start on August 8, finding space to finish the current campaign is a concern. But The Telegraph claim that the Premier League are considering a plan which would see the league resume on June 1 and finish around July 11.
