The League Manager's Association have revealed they are in contact with Premier League and Football League clubs over possible wage cuts and furloughing for football's top players and managers.
The LMA released a statement on Friday afternoon pledging its support to members and "everyone in the football family", after clubs began to take measures to reduce wage bills to cope with the current coronavirus crisis.
With the country currently in lockdown and no games or training taking place, many clubs have found themselves under financial pressure and some have began to furlough staff.
The Premier League is expected to release a statement later on Friday about the future of the current season and remaining fixtures yet to be played.
