A fundraiser has told how he fought off knife robbers who tried to steal sports memorabilia set to be auctioned off for charity - including a boxing glove signed by world heavyweight champ Tyson Fury.

Rob Topping, who runs Rob and his Angels, a community group set up during lockdown to provide meals for the needy, says three men tried to force their way into his Wilmslow home on Monday night.

The dad-of-two says that after holding a knife to his chest, one of the gang shouted: "Get the Fury s**t." Remarkably, Rob, 43, says he managed to fight the men off and they fled empty-handed in a white van.

During the Covid-19 pandemic Rob and a team of 40 volunteers have been delivering 1,400 meals a day to about 800 households in Wilmslow,
