Lockdown to continue in Karnataka as covid -19 fear remains

BENGALURU : Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa on Saturday said that while the lockdown would continue in the state, as a measure to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, it will also be relaxed over the next couple of weeks. "We must not compromise on lockdown and we are receiving suggestions for another 15 days," the chief minister’s office said in a statement, attributing it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The prime minister addressed the chief ministers of all states on Saturday to gather information on lifting the lockdown across the country after 21-days on 14 April. "In the next 15 days we will relax the lockdown in a graded manner," the CMO said in a statement,attributing it to the PM.
