As the country prepares to enter a sixth week on lockdown, coronavirus continues to claim the lives of people across Greater Manchester.
The region's death toll has now suprassed 1,000 people. It's vital we remember these are people, not statistics. More families, friends and colleagues, have seen the lives of loved ones cut tragically short amid the global pandemic.
The Manchester Evening News has pledged to pay tribute to every person we can in our region. Every victim of the virus has a story.
We want to tell them all. We asked people to get in touch to pay tell us about their lost loved ones. We've received hundreds of responses.
