Man faces court after taking Porsche 'out for a spin' and flouting lockdown rules

An English Porsche owner faces being taken to court for flouting coronavirus lockdown rules after he took his car "out for a spin" around Wales despite orders from Boris Johnson to stay inside.

North Wales police stopped the man, who is yet to be named, while monitoring the A499 between Caernarfon and Pwllheli. The force said the man had travelled from Shropshire to take his Porsche out "for a spin" against all government rules.

North Wales Road Policing Unit confirmed the driver has been reported under the new Covid-19 legislation. In a Tweet, the force said: "The driver of this Porsche decided to come 'for a spin' from the Shropshire area this morning. "Stopped in Bala whilst we were on patrol. "He has been reported under the new Covid-19
