COVID-19 as hospitalizations continued to drop Monday.There were 2,170 patients being treated for the disease, a net decrease of 12 from the previous day. This comes after 97 admissions and 109 discharges in hospitals across the province.Intensive care unit cases related to the pandemic stood at 78, a rise of three.The daily tally included 906 new novel coronavirus cases but the count is based on results from PCR testing, which remains off limits to most of the population.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A Texas woman shot and killed a man Thursday night who broke into her home, according to police.KSAT reports that the shooting happened at 10 p.m. April 28 in the 600 block of Kashmuir Place, not far from Kellis Avenue and South Side Lions Park on the southeast side of San Antonio.The woman was inside her home with her three children when she heard a man break in, getting in through the laundry room in the back of the house, according to KSAT.

Czar McMichael, 22, is facing murder charges after allegedly killing his grandfather and another man in Logan.  PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man has been arrested and faces murder charges after he fatally shot his grandfather and another man who may be a relative in Logan.  PREVIOUS: Police: 2 bodies found inside home of man, 67, missing from LoganAuthorities say the double murder scene was discovered on the 4600 block of North Broad Street in the city's Logan neighborhood at 4:42 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun, authorities say. According to police, the decomposed body of a person was found shot on the third floor of the residence and the body of a 45-year-old man was also found fatally shot in the home. Investigators learned that on April 28, 67-year-old Benjamin McMichael went into the bedroom that belonged to his grandson, 22-year-old Czar McMichael, and complained about the condition, police say. When Benjamin McMichael grabbed his grandson's arm, Czar McMichael spun around and fatally shot him, according to police. Days later, on the afternoon of April 30, a witness and 45-year-old Anthony Ham went to the residence on North Broad Street to check on Benjamin McMichael, who they had not heard from for several days, authorities say. According to police, Ham entered the home through a window and then opened the door for the unnamed witness. While checking the home, Ham confronted Czar McMichael on the third floor and they got into a verbal altercation, police say. Authorities say Czar McMichael then shot Ham multiple times before fleeing the home as the witness called 911. He was stopped and arrested on N.

JACKSON, Miss. - One person is dead and several others were injured following a shooting at a festival in Mississippi, according to sheriff officials.Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said on social media that "several" people were taken to local hospitals Saturday night with unknown injuries, and one person was confirmed dead at the scene. NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Police in Norristown are investigating a fatal double shooting of two, armed 17-year-old males, after an attempted robbery.According to officials, police responded to an alley behind the 300 block of Warren Street Friday, about 8 p.m. for a shooting.When police arrived, they found two males, dead from gunshot wounds and the shooter on scene.As part of the investigation revealed, according to Norristown Police and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, the two males were both 17-years-old.
