A man who stole vital personal protection equipment from an ambulance during the coronavirus lockdown has been thrown behind bars.
Mark Manley, 35, stole a bag of medical equipment including masks, paper suits and hand gel from the stationary ambulance near London Bridge.
When challenged by security staff during the incident in Southwark, London, the suspect then assaulted one security worker and racially abused another.
British Transport Police officers who were patrolling the area at the time of the incident at 9.19pm on Saturday, March 28 then detained the man.
