Man who 'tried to jump Asda queue and ignored two metre rule' is arrested

A man who allegedly tried to jump a queue at Asda before ignoring the two metre spacing rule has been arrested. The unnamed man was in the Trafford Park supermarket when staff had to step in when he wasn't adhering to the rules set out by the Government to keep us safe during the coronavirus crisis.

Security staff were forced to take control of the situation after the man became abusive and threatening, and police were called, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Police in Trafford shared details of the arrest on social media, and say the man was detained for a public order offence. Following the incident that happened on Friday Asda has since asked customers to treat staff and other shoppers with respect.
