Here are the Manchester United evening headlines on Thursday, May 7. Marc Jurado is set to become the latest player to join Manchester United this summer.
The 2004-born defender is understood to have rejected a senior deal at Spanish side Barcelona ahead of joining United’s youth setup next season.
United will only be required to pay a small compensation fee for the 16-year-old who becomes the second teenager to join the club this week.
This comes after Sunderland were raided for their promising youngster Joe Hugill in a deal expected to be worth £300,000. Jurado is not the first Spaniard to join United as a teenager, following in the footsteps of Gérard Piqué, who made the switch in 2004.
