Fenerbahce are yet to make contact with Manchester United over a possible deal for Anthony Martial. Speculation in Turkey has suggested Fenerbahce could make a frugal offer for Martial, 28, as he approaches the last five months of his contract.

United are planning to release Martial in the summer if they do not obtain a fee for the striker this month. Martial has been absent from training for four weeks due to illness and he has started in only seven games this term.

Martial will not have his contract extended by another year amid dire form and fitness over the last three-and-a-half years.

Martial has scored 18 goals for United since the start of the 2020-21 season and he last completed 90 minutes in the Premier League against Sheffield United in January 2021.
