A 'kind and caring' woman died having taken a toxic mix of prescribed medication, an inquest heard. Kirsty Doyle, 46, was on a range of medicines for complex mental and physical health problems.

She tragically died at her home in Altrincham, Trafford, on October 14, 2022. An inquest into Ms Doyle's death at South Manchester Coroners' Court heard she died from 'combined drug toxicity, relating to the medications she had been prescribed, against a background of fatty liver'.

Bosses at the health trust that managed Ms Doyle's care have apologised to her family for shortcomings in her treatment. The hearing was told Ms Doyle was in a crash in 2001, which left her with mobility issues and chronic pain.

She was prescribed strong pain killers and received her prescription on a weekly basis in dosette boxes - organised pill trays. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
