Many single people in homeless accommodation share rooms - DRHE

The Dublin Regional Homeless Executive (DRHE) has confirmed that many of the single people who are in homeless accommodation in the Dublin region share rooms with others.

In a statement, the executive said that as of the end of March, there were 2,906 single adults in emergency accommodation in the region. "Many of these single people do share rooms whilst in emergency accommodation," the statement said.

However, a DRHE spokesperson said this is in line with Health Service Executive guidelines and advice it has received. "The DRHE have been working very closely with the HSE and all our service providers on applying up to date COVID-19 public health advice across homeless settings," its statement said.
