The country can take some heart from indications that Covid-19 levels may be on a downward trajectory, according to the Taoiseach.
Micheál Martin said we have to continue to monitor the levels in terms of school openings, adding it is extremely important that we remain vigilant, especially in terms of plans to lift restrictions.
Yesterday, the Department of Health was notified of 1,414 new Covid cases, with 353 in hospital. The Taoiseach has also said figures so far indicate the reopening of the economy is having a beneficial impact on economic development. !ll the signals indicate Ireland is currently enjoying an economic bounce as key parts of society reopen, he added.
