Mary-Kate Olsen is moving forward with her divorce from estranged husband Olivier Sarkozy after her emergency petition for divorce was rejected.
The eight-week suspension on non-essential or non-emergency criminal and civic court proceedings has been lifted by New York courts and Mary-Kate‘s lawyers officially filed the divorce papers on Monday (Monday 25), according to New York Daily News.
Earlier this month, Mary-Kate‘s legal team had requested that the judge grant an emergency order to allow her to file for divorce, but she was denied. Mary-Kate had signed her petition for divorce on April 17, but the divorce has been in limbo amid the pandemic.
