Current travel advice from the British government has been criticised by the Alliance Party's Health Spokesperson who said there are massive absurdities around the guidance.
Paula Bradshaw, MLA for South Belfast, said travel corridors are making Northern Ireland very vulnerable and she would like to see a more consistent, whole island of Ireland approach to travel.
She added that because of the constitutional position in Northern Ireland this is not possible. However, she said there are ways in which the public can be better protected - such as tempetature testing and contact tracing - and she would like to see more of these being rolled out in Northern Ireland.
