Minecraft Dungeons is a game I went into with pretty much zero expectations. With the franchise making the leap to an entirely new genre and gameplay style I wasn’t really sure what to make of it before launch.
But, now that I have played through the game’s campaign twice and experienced as much as I could, I can safely say that Minecraft Dungeons is one of the most pleasant surprises of the year.
As your own custom character, you venture into nine unique levels to save the local villagers from the Arch-Illager who has obtained the Orb of Dominance and is using its power to take over the overworld.
That is about as deep as the plot gets, but the nine different levels you traverse through as you get closer to the Arch-Illager’s Obsidian
