Minneapolis protest: Looters steal TVs and raid shops as anger after George Floyd's death grows

Violent protests have broken out across the city where a black man died shortly after being pinned down by a white police officer.

Looters raided a shop in Minneapolis during protests against the death of 46-year-old George Floyd. People were seen running into the Target store off East Lake Street, before fleeing with items including TVs, groceries and clothes, Fox 9 reports.

While most protests have been peaceful, there have been several violent incidents in Minneapolis following Mr Floyd's death.

Fox 9 reports that some people have thrown objects at police and smashed shop windows, with officers responding by firing rubber bullets.
