the NHS publishes data on the number of deaths that have been recorded at each hospital trust in England the last 24 hours. These are deaths where the person had tested positive for the virus or where Covid-19 was mentioned on their death certificate. However these often include previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.It does not include deaths in the community or other settings.Today the deaths of a further 129 in people in England have been announced with 14 of these occurring in our region. That is a marked increase on the number recorded in the previous two days.
On Sunday no deaths were recorded in our hospitals for the first time since lockdown began in March. And there were just three new deaths.
