Mouthwash 'kills coronavirus in 30 seconds' and could be added to hand wash routine

coronavirus in less than 30 seconds, according to a new study.In research led by the Cardiff University, scientists discovered "promising signs" from the preliminary results.The laboratory findings showed that Covid-19 can be killed by mouthwash in less than half a minute.This comes ahead of a clinical trial into over-the-counter mouthwash and whether it has the potential to reduce levels of Covid-19 in a patient's saliva.Scientists found mouthwashes which contain at least 0.07% cetypyridinium chloride (CPC) have the potential to combat the bug.The report - The Virucidal Efficacy of Oral Rinse Components Against SARS-CoV-2 In Vitro - is yet to be peer reviewed but supports another study published last week that found CPC-based mouthwashes.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Washington Commanders safety Deshazor Everett has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the fatal car crash that took the life of his girlfriend Olivia Peters. According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Everett was charged after investigators determined he was driving over 90 mph just before the crash. Authorities say Everett, 29, turned himself into the Louduon County Adult Detention Center Tuesday afternoon. RELATED: Washington Football Team player discharged from hospital after car crash that killed Maryland womanBoth Everett and Peters were traveling north on Gum Spring Road near Ticonderoga Road in a 2010 Nissan GT-R the night of the crash in December 2021. Loudoun County Sherrif's Office said the vehicle the couple was in veered off the right side of the roadway, struck several trees, and rolled over.  Peters was taken to StoneSprings Hospital where she died from her injuries. Everett was taken to Reston Hospital Center and treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Everett posted a $10,000 secured bond and has been released from custody.
