A mum who feared she may die due to her failing kidneys has thanked the “incredible" organ donor who saved her life and allowed her to go and give birth to a miracle baby.
Sadia Rafiq, 36, was diagnosed with having abnormalities with her kidneys after she started having mysterious cramps. They began to slowly decline and by 2011 she had just 10 to 15 per cent function, needing regular dialysis, and in 2012 she joined the waiting list for a transplant.
Unable to work as a tutor she says her life became a shadow of the full and satisfying time she had enjoyed with husband, businessman Tahir, 38 and their son, Awais, now 10.
