Chandigarh: Nearly 80 per cent of the coronavirus cases in Haryana belonged to the Tablighi Jamaat, said Health Minister Anil Vij, here on Thursday. "Of the 134 coronavirus patients in the state, 106 belonged to the Tablighi Jamaat," he said.

Haryana has set up 14 hospitals to treat only Covid-19 patients and will soon start rapid sampling. "We are going to do rapid sampling in every district to know the exact (positive) cases," he told the media via video link.

He said 15,000 people with foreign travel history had been quarantined and held the Tablighi Jamaat accountable for the Covid-19 spread that was otherwise under control in the state.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
