UK's Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has refused to say when the country could emerge from coronavirus lockdown as he warned of a second spike in infections.
The British government must act cautiously to avoid a second spike in infections which would lead to a second lockdown and that would damage public confidence, he said today.
Raab, who is deputising for Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he recovers from COVID-19, was questioned on the government's thinking on how and when Britain might begin to see an easing of social distancing measures. "We are at a delicate and dangerous stage and we need to make sure that the next steps are sure-footed," Raab told Sky news.
