A coach at a rugby club in Oldham is recovering in hospital after battling coronavirus in intensive care. Brendan Sheridan, assistant coach at Oldham Roughyeds, is 'building up his strength', club chairman Christopher Hamilton told the Manchester Evening News on Monday.
Mr Sheridan has been in hospital for several weeks after contracting the virus. He is still on a 'long road to recovery' but is now 'hopefully over the worst' of it, Oldham Rugby League Football Club bosses said.
