During a virtual press conference this morning, Leo Varadkar told journalists that he expects the EU Digital Green Certificate to be in place by mid-June, with member states then having six weeks to adopt it.
Mr Varadkar also said that some form of Mandatory Hotel Quarantine will likely remain in place for "quite some time". He said he hopes that the Common Travel Area between Ireland and the UK will be restored "very soon", allowing people to travel to Britain without restrictions.
