The closure of our schools is one of the biggest barriers to getting the economy up and running amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Without children in school, many parents can't work and without working parents the workforce is drastically depleted. For that reason - and many others - the government is facing increasing pressure to get children back in classroom for the final weeks of the academic year.
Not only are there economic concerns, but there are worries over children missing vital education, as well as the low number of 'at risk' children taking up the available places for 'vulnerable children' - which is far fewer than expected.
