Aaron Cresswell has accused football of not listening to the concerns of players worried about Project Restart. The West Ham defender became the latest in a growing number of stars unconvinced by the Premier League’s testing plan amid a range of measures to combat the coronavirus.
Cresswell, who has a young child, tweeted: “I think it’s been made pretty clear (that) players’ opinions don’t count for much along with the head medical officer of Fifa. “It’s been 10 weeks since we last played to try to get a poll to see where players stand.” Fifa's chief doctor, Michel d’Hooghe, warned last month against restarting the interrupted 2019-20 campaign and suggested governing bodies prepare for action next season instead.
