Partick Thistle have pleaded with the rest of Scottish football to consider the damage they would wreak on relegated clubs should reconstruction fail.
The Maryhill side have been dropped to League 1 despite being only one point adrift in the Championship and having a game in hand due to the points per game system used to decide the standings.
Hearts chairman Ann Budge has been leading the charge for a 14-10-10-10 set-up that would solve the issue of damage to clubs by relegation but revealed on Thursday that Championship clubs are likely to vote down the opportunity for change.
In a statement on the club website, Chairman Jacqui Low urged clubs to think long and hard about what the likes of Thistle, Hearts and Stranraer have been put.
