The message was clear at Perth Royal Infirmary this week as the nation celebrated our wonderful nurses.A giant message saying “Thank you NHS Tayside” was painted at the entrance to PRI by Wrightline Roadmarkings to mark International Nurses Day.Held on May 12 each year, International Nurses Day takes place on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth and recognises the work nursing staff do caring for patients and their families.This year’s theme was ‘nursing the world to health’, with a focus on the ‘true value of nurses to the people of the world’.And it is certainly true that nurses across the world have stepped up to the challenge of caring for people during these very exceptional times amid the coronavirus outbreak.Taggart star
