Construction workers have been pictured mingling together on a site in Manchester city centre as the government resists growing pressure to halt all building work.
The images show workers in high-vis jackets side by side. Others show workers chatting together on a road and behind barriers on a site.
The images - which the M.E.N is publishing as workers are not individually identifiable - highlight the confusion within the sector over what to do amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The government has said construction sites could stay open as long as workers remain two metres apart, despite the rules on public transport only being for key workers.
