People have listened to police and stayed at home instead of making the traditional Good Friday trip up to Rivington Pike. As people continue to flout lockdown restrictions and head outside in groups, police in Bolton pleaded with people this week to stay at home instead of gathering on Winter Hill for the annual walk.

Police have announced this afternoon that walkers have listened to the advice, sharing a picture of empty lanes in Horwich. Officers thanked residents for their help to relieve pressure on the NHS.
