Premier League club doctors will hold a video conference call with Government officials today to raise fears about the dangers of resuming matches.
League chiefs have outlined a plan to get the season going again on June 8 if it is safe to do so. Some clubs have allowed their players to return to isolated training in the hope that full training can resume later this month at various facilities.
Much will depend on what the Government decides to do in terms of the current lockdown measures in place regarding social distancing as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
But it is understood club doctors have huge reservations about the dangers of staging top-level games again in a bid to get the season finished.
