Brits flocked to parks on Friday in 25C heat with some continuing to ignore social distancing rules. Many headed to their nearest park or beach to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which led to police moving people on.
In London, a man was asked to go home by a police officer for sunbathing in Greenwich Park. Hundreds headed to Brighton beach to sunbathe and enjoy the bank holiday weather, despite government officials asking Brits to remain indoors.
The weather also brought cyclists out, with a group of woman enjoying a bike ride across London this afternoon. The government yesterday warned Brits to stick to the guidlines amid fears the warm weather could drive Brits to gather outdoors.
