Premier League chiefs have been told they could lose up to £1.5bn when the next TV deals come around. The postponement of the season has had a huge impact on broadcasters who have had to appease customers.

But that has left them short of cash and they have told leading lights among England's top flight that there will be repurcussions.

Clubs are currently trying to calculated how much of the £760m that was paid for the season's final quarter may be returned, reports The Sun.

It has been a factor in the want to get the campaign back up and running, but there has been opposition to some of the plans proposed as part of Project Restart.
