Premier League managers have reportedly been told the final nine matches of the 2019/20 campaign will be completed in as little as six weeks.
The English top flight has been on hold for over two months now, with Leicester ’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa on 9 March the last outing before its suspension.
However, league officials are currently locked in talks over a potential return to action in June after teams were given the all clear to return to non-contact training last week.
And yesterday all 20 clubs unanimously agreed to resume contact training, paving the way for the resumption of matches. According to The Times , Premier League bosses have been told the current campaign will be completed in six weeks.
