The Premier League got back under way on Wednesday following a three-month hiatus, as Aston Villa and Sheffield United restarted the campaign in an empty stadium.

Both sides met at Villa Park in a 6pm kick-off with a strict protocol in place for the behind-closed-doors fixture. Only a maximum of 300 people were allowed entry into the stadium, many of whom are involved with both squads.

Teams were prohibited from lining up in the tunnel and took to the field separately as any unnecessary gathering was avoided.

Social distancing guidelines are being adhered to as best as possible, despite players mingling on the pitch, as both sub's benches were kept far apart.
