Prince William opens the new NHS Nightingale Hospital via video conference to maintain social distancing on Thursday (April 16) in Birmingham, England.
The 37-year-old royal made a speech to those who contributed to the opening of the emergency COVID-19 hospital, which was built in just 8 days to help those needing hospitalization from the Coronavirus in the area. “The building you are standing in is yet another example of how people across the country have risen to this unprecedented challenge.
The Nightingale hospitals will rightly go down as landmarks in the history of the NHS,” the Prince said. The hospital can help 500 patients with the ability to help up to 1,500 patients.
