Queen loses £20m in two months as coronavirus triggers 'crisis' for super-rich

The Queen has reportedly lost a staggering £20 million in the last couple of months due to the Covid-19 crisis. Her Majesty has been hit by the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen major losses for Britain's super-rich during this period of time, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

The 94-year-old has a share portfolio, mostly in British blue-chip companies, which will have taken a hit so the paper estimates that for 2019 her wealth has gone from £390m to £370m.

It's reported Buckingham Palace needed £14.1m of maintenance in 2018-19 and a further £5.5m went on maintaining other properties.
