A fundraiser to support the family of a seven-year-old girl who was killed in a horrific stabbing has raised £1,000 in just 24 hours.
In an astonishing community effort, 82 people have donated money for the ‘Queen's Park Angel’ who died following an 'unprovoked and random attack' on Sunday afternoon.
The youngster was out with her family in Queen’s Park, just outside Bolton town centre, when she was attacked. A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and has since been detained under the mental health act.
Following the incident, a charity page was set up on campaign website GoFundMe, with the aim of raising £1,000 for the girl’s family.
