The Howwood hospice said it is working hard to ensure connections can be kept with families through phones and tablets.A spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Government has placed a number of local restrictions in Renfrewshire and the surrounding areas.“As part of this process, restrictions have been reintroduced on hospital visiting and this has been extended to facilities such as hospices.“This has meant that, with immediate effect, inpatient visiting at the hospice has been restricted to essential visits only.“As a hospice, an essential visit would primarily be deemed for someone who is receiving end of life care.“We understand that this situation will be very difficult for everyone concerned and please be assured that we will.
