Parents and teachers at three secondary schools have found a collaborative way of working, thanks to the creation of a new forum that is proving to be a lifeline for parents whose kids have returned to home schooling after the Easter break.
Although organisers had to postpone the launch of Cathkin, Stonelaw and Trinity (CST) Parent Partnership due to social restrictions imposed by the outbreak of coronavirus, the part being played by the organisation – the first of its kind in South Lanarkshire – is an important resource for parents who having to oversee their children’s education.
At the outset, the aim of the partnership was to open up discussions on issues of common interest and the sharing of ideas and good practice, as well as breaking
