Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan today heavily criticised the President of the United States after he unfollowed him on Twitter. The Good Morning Britain host slammed President Trump’s leadership as "terrible" during an earlier heated interview, referencing his recent comment about bleach being a ‘cure’ for coronavirus.

The pair struck up a bizarre 'friendship' after Piers won the American version of The Celebrity Apprentice in 2008, then when Trump was elected president in 2016, he spoke to the ITV presenter in what was an exclusive world interview.

But since the COVID-19 pandemic, Piers has been critical of Trump's leadership, and it now appears it’s gone too far and they are no longer friends.
