Samir Nasri has opened up about his infamous doping incident which led to an 18-month ban from football. The Frenchman enjoyed the best years of his career at Manchester City where he won two Premier League titles.

After six years at the Etihad he joined La Liga side Sevilla on loan but made the headlines for the wrong reasons after visiting a clinic in Los Angeles.

In February 2018, Nasri was given a six-month ban from football from UEFA for breaching World Anti-Doping Agency rules by receiving an intravenous drip and his ban was later extended 12 months, but backdated to July 2017.
