The coronavirus lockdown will continue in Scotland for at least another two weeks, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced.
Speaking in her daily briefing from the Scottish Government's headquarters in Edinburgh, she said: "Our assessment of the evidence leads me to the conclusion that the lockdown must be extended at this stage." It comes as Boris Johnson is expected to announce an easing of social distancing measures for England from next week.
But Sturgeon insisted she would "not be pressurised" into lifting measures too early, warning of the risk of a potential second spike in infections.
