Miriam Margolyes shocked viewers of Channel 4 show The Last Leg after saying she wanted Boris Johnson to die after he was hospitalised and admitted to intensive care with coronavirus.
The 78-year-old Harry Potter star made the comments about the prime minister during an appearance on Friday’s episode of the show.
When the actress was asked how she thinks the government is handling the coronavirus pandemic, she said she had “difficulty not wanting Boris Johnson to die”.
She said: “It’s a disgrace, it’s a scandal. It’s a public scandal. I had difficulty not wanting Boris Johnson to die. "I wanted him to die.
