Health officials have released the latest coronavirus data for every local authority area in Scotland. In the week between October 3 and 9, Scotland recorded 17,295 new Covid infections - with a test positivity rate of 8.2%.Stirling recorded the highest infection rate of any local authority over this period, with a seven-day positive rate of 490.0 per 100,000 population.
West Lothian, Dundee, Aberdeenshire, Fife and East Ayrshire all recorded rates of over 400. The Orkney Islands had the lowest infection rate over this period, with 71.4 per 100,000 population.Earlier today, Scotland recorded 1,908 new cases of coronavirus over past 24 hours.
