Sage scientists have advised the government to act early with Covid-19 'Plan B' restrictions to reduce the need for more stringent measures later this winter.
The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) said measures from the contingency plan set out by Boris Johnson earlier this year should be brought in "together" for the greatest effect.
