Scots cops swoop on cars at Asda and search them as part of 'drug dealing probe'

Stunned shoppers looked on as police swooped on two vehicles - one with a child in the back - at a supermarket car park. Two men were then cuffed by officers and kept apart while the motors - a BMW and a Golf - were searched.

The drama unfolded at Asda in Toryglen, in Glasgow ’s southside, on Sunday, as scores of shoppers queued outside the store. It is thought the raid was connected to an investigation into drug dealing in the area - and a quantity of cash was recovered by officers.Witnesses said police led the child into one of their vans as the men were detained at the scene and the cars searched.

One told us: "The way the police vehicles were positioned, it looked like they had been deliberately parked to block both vehicles in."I saw
